New York State Religious Leaders Trip to Washington, April 14-16, 2008 (click)
Lutheran Statewide Advocacy planned and co-facilitated The New York State Community of Churches' eighth Protestant religious leaders' four-day visit for briefings with advocacy leaders in Washington and meetings with members of New York's congressional delegation. This year focused on poverty, immigration, the Middle East, and human and civil rights.

 Lutherans Statewide Advocacy helped plan and contribute to our annual ecumenical visit with the Governor. We were joined by Bishop Marie Jerge.


Rally Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of Brown v. Board of Education

Lutheran Statewide Advocacy contributed to this rally, which also called for equitable funding for education throughout New York State. LSA is also working with an interfaith working group on a congregation-based advocacy effort.
